This is, I'm afraid to say, The new look ebay. Small sellers, watch out, here we come. ๐ + ebay look after them like Babies.

so we get to push the proverbial uphill harder than we already do.... WHY oh WHY doesn't someone come up with a viable alternative platform? Despite what Ebay have decided, there is still a HUGE market for 'garage sale' type merchandise.

to be fair, they have been around two years

They're not new. I've bought a couple of things through their eBay store. Great service each time.

they have invested their own money in a custom store ( as have I) up to them and it looks great. Probably their own cost.
All their negs are there to see.
I would never buy off ebay from such a seller as I would rather have the 7-10% FVF in my back pocket as a negotiated discount than going to ebay and they still get the same money. Why you would buy off the good guys on ebay as opposed to their own site or B&M store is beyond me unless they have products on here unavailable on their site or in store. Which I would find hard to believe.

Sorry - OK - not new, my bad
Good luck to them all, pity though, for those who have struggled for years to make a place here for themselves, without the corporate backing and finance
You would think if they are doing that well they could leave the little guys alone, but all's fair in love and business (and eBays bottom line)

Why would I buy off the eBay store? Because eBay gave me some discount vouchers to use ๐
