Just wondering if there is a Blocked buyer list

Doesn't read listings, has a habit of leaving negs and neutrals.

Has sent me 53 emails over the last few weeks regarding her purchases.

If eBay's "Trust and Safety" dept wasnt such a toothless tiger then the problem should be easily sorted out, unfortunately they are almost inactive when it comes to members concerns, and I have no idea how to force them into acting on cases like this.

Re: Just wondering if there is a Blocked buyer list

I messaged ebay on their Australian facebook page (hoping to get someone Australian to talk/message to) and someone got back to me today, so I explained the situation.  I was told that her account "has also been escalated for review regarding other reports made by our members."

I didn't hear anything for a few hours then I received the following "we've received a response from our Trust & Safety Team. They have informed us that they will be contacting you directly via email within the day regarding your report and your request to have those feedback comments removed. Cheers!"

I then this evening received an email from an "Australian" manager saying she would call me tomorrow night at 6.30pm.  The same time this email came through I received another one (from another one I had replied to earlier in the day) bascially saying no they won't remove the feedback.

I am at a loss.  Here is this buyer, with her account supposedely being flagged, ebay telling sellers to cancel their orders with her because of her account being flagged but then ebay turning around and reinstating this feedback from a "flagged" buyer!  Does not make any sense at all!

toys, I feel for you.

Admire your tenacity and we are all rooting for you.

If all else fails, I'm sure we can muster up a few hundred members here for a petition or to send in their disgust of eBay's handling of your situation.

And way to go spicesugar. giving-thumbs-up-winking-smiley-emoticon.gif In numbers, the good guys prevail.

Dunno about that one Kopes...........smiley-shocked025.gif..........

..........................but anyway this whole fiasco should have been stopped by NARUing the buyer long ago.

It would seem that T & S will not act until something is posted on facebook or another social media site, much like AP, Telstra etc.

Discussion boards like this that have maybe 5% of members looking at it unfortunately have very little power, and probably less than a member asking to speak to a supervisor to work things out, a real shame but true IMHO.

I was told once the feedback was removed they could not reinstate it. More lies by ebay.

Re: Just wondering if there is a Blocked buyer list

I have named and shamed on the eBay Australia Facebook page a few times and the messages were not removed. Quite a few people commented too, including eBay. For anyone that doesn't already access it, make sure you go to the site with the blue tick. There are plenty of fake sites out there pretending to be eBay. Possibly to get personal info off you. The blue tick shows that it's the genuine site.

I am in complete shock with this feral buyer. It's bad enough that those serial non payers on my follow list are allowed to continue but when someone is being blatantly malicious and eBay has all the proof they need, it borders on criminal. They are allowing these malicious buyers to continue at the detriment of decent sellers.

Time for the "investigators" to do their stuff. There can't be that many doll sellers in Australia, surely? Surely between a few sleuths, it could be established whether she is in fact a seller and trying to knock off her competition. Have any of the sellers that have been burnt and not had the items returned checked to see if they have been listed?

Re: Just wondering if there is a Blocked buyer list

Well said Tippy, it's only conjecture on my part about it being another seller, but as was pointed out a few posts ago this buyer is starting to buy bulk items, that has to raise flags surely (to christ).

The doll sleuths should get together.................sleuther.gif    and nail the member.

Re: Just wondering if there is a Blocked buyer list

I can confirm from the 60+ emails she has sent me that she has definitely been a seller on ebay in the past.

Whether she is currently a seller on ebay is really not relevant - it is the pattern of behaviour as evidenced by her 'feedback left for others' that should be, I believe, sufficient enough for ebay to act.

She has made some 100 purchases over the past 12 months - 50+ of which she has left negative/netural feedback for.  Surely as a buyer, if more than half of your experiences on ebay were unsatisfactory, you would have voluntarily closed your account.  How could anyone ever view this as anything but suspect?

Whatever happened to common sense??
