Hi fellow sellers,
I had one of my items bid up to 50 dollars on my last lot of auctions on Sunday. Then I got this in my inbox:
"Hello
I have been having some hacking problems on my laptop and wish to request a cancellation of this spurious bid.
Hopefully it will not be required , but just in case it is , please consider my "bid"
null and void."
I think this is one of the lamest excuses full stop. I thought it was Craig Thompson bidding on it.
I can understand ones account being hacked. But hacking a laptop then of all things opening up this weak individual's account and putting a 50 dollar bid on an item? But didn't cancel his 30 other auctions......
Personally I feel people like this peanut that welch on their bids get off far too easy.
They should get negative feedback left by an ebay CSO that is without emotion or fear or favour.
Well that's my 2 cents worth.

write the email as above and add the sentence from Kazbar...
that's the perfect way to deal with such a ''buyer''

Also the perfect way to ask for negative feedback from the buyer. Has everyone forgotten that sellers are now at the mercy of buyers. Not the other way around?

If they don't pay and the case is closed they can not leave feedback.
Why do you keep insisting on giving false information and useless advice.
If you really can't be bothered don't bother replying at all.
Or, take your expertise to the AC, and see how long you last over there!

no, NOT at all. open / close the NPD and they cannot leave a negative (or any other fb).
so... do all of the above, OP and do not worry about the neg fb which will not be given!

If you irritate a seller who has not paid before you close the unpaid item case. They can simply then pay for the item and then they are free to leave negative feedback. HOW IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

gottabecaareful....badly chosen name as you should be more so as you are making a fool of yourself.. A buyer can out of spite pay for the item and then leave negative feedback! So how is that false information you ignorant little person?

Nice to see you know how to admit when your wrong. I never ceases to amaze me how some people are so quick to get nasty on these forums when they are in the wrong.
(and yes I am movie_models)

Of course you are, you just admitted on another thread silly boy :^O
and please in future, try to have a little humility and not call someone names, just because they
pointed out an error you made.
I am neither little nor ignorant, just amused by some responders 😐

Yes my being forthright about who I am makes me a "silly boy" Petty you cant do the same instead of hiding behind an alias. It is you who have gone out of your way to "have a go" here. As Forust Gump would say Ignorant is as ignotant does!
All I did was state that if you upset a buyer they may leave negative feedback and you responded by stating that I did not know what I was talking about and that I should stop gving useless advise etc etc......yet you had misunderstood my post and my meaning. Yet you continue to have a go without even acknowledging your error...and want to tell me to have some humility?
Really Im embarrassed for you. ...and you call me a silly boy.
Anyway to discuss this with you further would only lower me to your base level. So you have your last word. Ill settle with taking the high ground.

I don't want to see any more abusive comments here. This isn't a playground even if you want to treat it like one. You don't need to like some members but you also don't need to express your dislike of them in public.
