Late Delivery Defects in Seller Dashboard

After selling on ebay for over 2 decades, I have suddenly received 4 defects for late delivery  in the last month.   Australia post are consolidating loads between states, cities, town, etc due to the fuel shortage which is having an impact on delivery times.    Ebay should be stepping up to protect sellers.     The currently estimated delivery times being shown to a buyer on ebay are just incorrect.      There needs to be a note from ebay on the postage confirmation message to a buyer that they should expect delays for the next few weeks to months until the fuel situation is resolved.     Sellers should NOT be getting defects for something which is out of our control in the current situation.

Not much good telling other members what eBa *should* be doing

Did you post with tracking within your handling time?, if so, have you contacted eBay and asked with they are doing to protect sellers due to the Dumpster fuel issue (which is unlikely to be resolved withing weeks or months, more like years)

How long you have been selling is not relevant, any seller of any length of time would get the same defect in the same situation

Re: Late Delivery Defects in Seller Dashboard

Have you tried extending your handling time.

Post items as usual but extend the handling time.

Re: Late Delivery Defects in Seller Dashboard

If an item arrives late, but was shipped within your handling time (with tracking), then no defect is applied.
