Listing removed due to trademark violation MC999

I just received an email from ebay saying that my listing has been removed because of the trademark violation. I was selling a Louis Vuitton bag. Unfortunately, I don't have the store receipt as it was given as a gift. Does anyone know how to get it authenticated? I know that Louis Vuitton store won't authenticate the bag in a writing. Any advice?

Thanks

You could ask the person who gave it to you which store they bought it from. Alternatively try Googling the date code number inside the bag - fake bags tend to use the same series of numbers which can be found by looking on Google. Genuine ones have two letters followed by 4 numbers.

I wouldn't bother, even if it was authenticated it would probably be removed at least once more and you would have to spend ages proving to T&S that it was genuine before you were allowed to list.

If it is genuine then you may do better at a B&M auction that specialises in clothing and accessories.
