Listing with Variations in Sporting Goods

Hi All

I am trying to list with "Variations" in Sporting Goods > NRL > Merchandise > Trading Cards but the option doesn`t allow me to. It is available as others have "Variations" listed in this category, but for some reason I don`t get the option.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Any help would be great.

Thank You

Re: Listing with Variations in Sporting Goods

The option to list variations is available in the category

Sporting Goods > NRL, Rugby League > Merchandise > Trading Cards

To create a variant listing you need to start from scratch, you can't create one using Sell Similar unless the original listing also had variants.

Thanks Bigbrickshop

I did try from scratch, but the option didn`t come up. I thought maybe I needed a shop to be allowed to do it. I will try again

Re: Listing with Variations in Sporting Goods

If I list with Variations say 100 Items am I charged Insertion fees for every item or just 1 Insertion Fee? Just Interested as I also have a lot of Trading Cards for AFL.

Thank You

With a store, you are only charged a single listing fee, or it will use 1 of your free ones (i.e. with a basic store, it'll either be free or cost 50c).

It also only incurs a single insertion fee without a store, but in that case (unless things have changed) the fee charged is based on the total value of the items available. If the total value is less than $100, then $1.50 would be charged , if the total value exceeds $100, then the listing would cost $3.50 (unless a free listing is used). Without any free listings or a store, it would be more cost effective to create a few different listings to keep the total value for each one under $100 (assuming they wouldn't be duplicate listings - if the difference between $1.50 and $3.50 was equal to or less than a single listing <$100, it wouldn't matter, but it would cost more to have $50-odd available in two listings than it would to have $101 worth of goods in a single listing.... If that makes sense.... better to just make sure you only use free listings for them if you don't have a store Smiley LOL ).

Totally agree with DG, plus it's far better to use one of your free listings for multiples as it costs you nothing.

That should read it would cost less...

(I guess it didn't make sense - I stuffed it up twice when I was trying to explain it Smiley LOL ). But yeah, free listings are the way to go).

How odd. Because I knew what you meant, I actually read it that way, rather than the way it was typed. Go figure! Smiley LOL

You might have read it before I changed it Smiley LOL

I posted, then re-read and for some strange reason I thought to myself that isn't right..., but instead of changing more to less, I did a cut n' paste and swapped the two scanarios around, and in the process made it wrong when it was originally right.

I got there in the end, but I definitely took the scenic route. ๐Ÿ˜„ Smiley LOL
