Hi, I have had two buyers email me to say why don't I post to their location, one is in Qld and one is in Vic. I post to Australia only and have never had issues like this, can anyone shed some light on this for me please. I wonder if this is why my sales have been extremely slow the last couple of days. Thanks.

Rest assure, what I provided you was the accurate information. I am part of the department who handles top accounts and have reported this type of error to technical team before which they confirmed. I have assisted a lot of top accounts regarding this issue and was able to fix this with the other members. Though if you want confirmation, you can chat with my supervisor

When my first buyer asked me, I immediately checked my blocked buyers list, she wasn't on that, so I thought maybe she had multiple strikes. But when the second buyer asked me the same thing, I knew something wasn't right.

I have just had a sale to SA and everything went smoothly so I don't know what to think now. Maybe just not think at all ๐

I looked at something the other day and it said "does not post to NSW". I thought it strange, then thought maybe sellers were finally able to specify which areas in Aus they didn't want to post to......like plant sellers who can't post to WA or Tas. Seems I was wrong!
As for not being able to specify letter rate, isn't that what the flat rate postage option is for? I've never had any issues specifying that postage is $1.40 or $2.10, or whatever, when I've used the flat rate option. Stupid CS!!

Given that others are having the same issue, I called CS this morning and got a call back fairly quickly from Abby. She said mine was the second report this morning with the same issue and she was going to escalate the issue to tech support for a resolution. She promised me an email response within 24 hrs, here's hoping.

Actually, sellers do now have the option of blocking certain regions within Australia, but it's only accessable to those that have the Business Policies implemented on their accounts, which in itself has been experiencing a range of issues lately.... maybe they're trying to fix that, and broke a bunch of other stuff.

Can small sellers set up business policies? This seller was only a small seller that seemed to be just clearing out household items. None were listed as pick up only.

eBay usually just implements them on an account, with an option to opt out (I have them on this account, but not my other, older account) - there is an opt in link, but so far I don't think anyone who hasn't had eBay force it on them anyway has been able to opt in. A lot of sellers have had it implemented on their account but then not been able to use them, opt out or actually list anything, so there are definitely some issues surrounding all that stuff.

I have blocks set up to prevent buyers with too many unpaid items strikes & who live in different countries buying my items.
I sell to Australia only on the vast majority of my items.
If you go into My Ebay / Accounts / Site Preferences / Buyer Requirements Activity Log : it outlines all the users who have been stopped from buying with details of user names, item numbers & reasons etc.
In the last 3 days I have had 7 different buyers blocked from buying my items because they live in a country to which I don't post - They all in fact live in Australia. Most tried numerous times to buy the items as it logs every attempt made.
Does anyone else who has been having issues also have blocks set up?
