I ship daily and have a perfect record for over 11 years, my late postge deficit reads as follows.
3 late deliveries reorted by the carrier
2 late delieveries reported by the buyer
My deficit is 1.66
At this rate another 4 and and I will slip below standard and what the hell has the carrier (Aus Post) got to do with reporting late deliveries ?
I cannot do anymore than post every day and I believe some people would winge evn if I teleported the parcels that day..............

I wouldn't be chilling too much because I received too many defects for no fault of my own and I have had my selling account suspended.
But what hurts the most is all other family members are banned from selling.

I am going back to red satchels even though they are more expensive, at least I dont have to put up with this nonscence.
This place is getting to hard to trade on and I am just about fed up, past selling history means nothong to ebay anymore.
Well sellers are also buyers and if I leave i wont be buying here thats for sure .......................

Many sellers have found that extending their handling time to at least 3 days (whilst continuing to post same or next day) can make a huge difference to the unrealistic eBay estimates. I looked at one of your listings which gave me an estimate of the item arriving in 3 business days - you are in Bundaberg Qld and I'm in Sydney !!! that's totally unrealistic even if you were in the same city !!!

Also, you offer Click & Collect, which is great, but this can add up to 2 days extra which IS NOT factored in the arrival estimates dates.

Thankyou for that good advice I will do that , but I am also returning to the red satchels as well to further dodge more deficits.....

How many sellers are ebay going to loose over this? Good ones who have bent over backwards to post everyday, countless others who get demoralized because they are being accused of something they haven't. done, all those sellers who work a full time job who have no ability to validate shipping.
How many hard working seller sare busy trying to pack late orders to get last post out of pride, so buyers will get the items ASAP, only to get labelled late shippers because they can't prove otherwise. Extending handling time to 3 days gives me 3 days to get around to going to Post office, it induces a whatever/whenever/ it can wait attitude. Hardly promotes a "can do' attitude. If i have 3 day handling I will go to post office twice a week to make sure I am covered. i wont be street lodging same day and hoping the 3 days gives me a buffer. It may not if a whole batch gets held up for some unknown reason.
I can't see Ebay have any alternative but to back peddle on this. members on here are doing workarounds, most members dont come here and so will just hit a wall. The new sellers who start up follow Ebays instructions to street lodge and offer one day handling, wont know anything about it until the defects roll in, so they give up. So will the next wave, as nowhere is Ebay warning anyone up front they need proof of lodging
Of all the stuff ups Ebay have done, this is potentially the worst.

I think the line at the bottom of your posts sums up eBay on postage time most adequately!!

So extend your handling time, before you get another one.
I have my handling time at 5 days, even though I post every day, and Ive never received a postage defect.
Ive had handing time previously at one day and three days - 5 days makes ZERO difference to sales.

This was pointed out recently by another seller in a FB group I'm in:
Note: Only tracking details from postage labels printed on eBay are counted automatically. For all other shipments, the buyer will be asked whether the item was delivered within the estimated delivery date. If you uploaded tracking information showing that the shipment was on time, contact Customer Service about removing the late shipment.

Blardy nonsesical if you ask me, but then just about everything regarding this metric is.

Just wondering if there a way to change the handling times in bulk, or do I have to click on each one seperately, thankyou
