Today I took some Click and Send satchels to my local Post Office as I usually do. I was told that AP are no longer printing and issuing click and send lodgement receipts, so I got nothing to show that I had lodged them. Has anyone else had this? The customer service lady told me it was happening Australia Wide. Will I now have issues with proof of posting in the event of any delivery problems/disputes?

I still think AP (if they want to encourage people not to post over Post Office counters as it seems) should make self-scan lodgement possible,
It would not be so difficult to have a system at each PO, where parcel could be put in a slot and as it would slide down there would be a reader just as in supermarket self-checkout ( it could scan from top and bottom). It could have a safety feature that if number would not be read, instead of dropping in, it would get spat out at the front for you to smooth it and try again.

This is why it did not register as scanned today and give a receipt. But if I put the number in the system it did show as scanned in.
Be interesting to see what happens in the next few days.
Typical damn AP, make a change and tell no one. Do we still have cover if an item is lost?
Just starting to wonder what we pay AP for. Higher prices with an ever diminishing degree of service. My local PO are still awesome, but AP Corporate are the pits.
The day will come where they will take the money and expect us to deliver it. AP lift your game.

My AP never did, so I just chuck them in a post box. I kind of figure most buyers who receive will assume I have paypal protection, and won't have a lend of me, and any that do claim INR, I will have to wear it. Since I started in April last year, one INR so far, so not bad odds, I can certainly live with it.

I have a post on AP's FB page. go and post your anger about them not scanning the parcels. It may go some way to making them rethink this stupidity.

are they scanning but not issuing lodgement receipt OR not scanning and not issuing lodgement receipt?
The opening post and post #2 both say that the OP has been told they are not issuing lodgement receipts, nothing about not scanning C&S that are lodged over the counter.
This is what needs clearing up as tracking and protection is still possible so long as the item is scanned upon lodgement.

This is what I have asked on the AP, FB page. I hope they reply tomorrow.

They still scan them at the PO counter, but not issue the lodgement receipt. Sorry for any confusion.

I lodged mine yesterday (Wed 23/1) and I received a receipt

seems as eachPO updates their computers, the receipt function is disabled
