we know they're messing.....
I don't know if this is just for stores or site-wide. Go into your store - click on magnifying glass on picture - see what you get - an add to cart message (BINS)

Acually not so bad in the Aussie version.
I do think it's an oversight not to have a condition description available though; particularly for used goods.
Feedback shows all, not "this product only" as US seemed to do.
I could even imagine the "add to cart" feature being relatively useful for a customer going through a store to buy up a few items.
Do we have any idea if/when this will roll out to all users?
Does anyone on the forums have this new format?
I'll have to reserve judgement for the moment.

I've just changed to the 'new store' look.....and there are all my pics??
Oh, I see, you've only got one image on elarged view WTH?
I'm still on the old format and it's not available to me.
The main reason I stayed "old" was that the new format didn't give as many store categories.
Something interesting about Chemist Warehouse I did notice though:
The page source view of their templates shows a mix of http and https.
I wonder if they're being pestered to get their act together?
What are your thoughts of this new enalrged view twyngwyn? (apart from lack of images that is)

No...all my categories are still there
I think the difference wasn't great, maybe 5 or 10 categories from memory.
It was just that at the time I was looking at more in depth cataloguing but never did fully implement it.
I see what you mean by size of pic but looking at page source the new format is 450px x 600px which is bigger than the old enlarged view.
Neither the old or new formats gave access to the magnifying viewer so in both cases you'd need to go into the actual listing page.
(no real change there in other words)
The resolution does however seem to be lower but that could be a function of the thumbnail generator in use ATM so could improve.
I was also a bit quick to say only one image is shown but you do need to hover over to see additional images displayed which to my mind is a bit of an oversight.
For used items though, I still think a condition description would be very useful.

Yes, I go into the listing to zoom.....but anything I've listed in the last 10 days (possibly 500 items) is missing this feature

Just an additional thought - Maybe it would be possible to add a generalized condition description as a jpeg image?
Hard to say how eBay would view that though.

Nothing surprising there if past history is any indicator.
A new feature is always buggy as hell so I'd suspect your new(ish) listings will eventually catch up (maybe lol).
I've noticed that the magnying viewer has been very slow to load lately and that could be a result of this new feature placing more demand on the image server(s).
