New Letter rates Australia Post from 3 January 2023

Must have had my head in the sand for over a month - I didn't realise that domestic letters are now $1.20 instead of $1.10.    Have been posting out at the old rate all this time.    Normally there is a big hoohaa when  prices go up, but I didn't see anything.   ☹️

You are right. I just checked a letter with a small item I received last week and it has an additional 10-cent stamp.

Yes, we realised a couple of weeks after the prices went up - only because we were checking the dimensions of a tracked envelope and noticed the price had increased.

I remember something on the news late last year that increases had been approved, but nothing later saying that they were being instigated, or on what date.

My PO had a notice prominently displayed from early December

I purchase by the 20 x  booklet - quite a few to save the trip.

Now have to make it up with 10 cent stamps.
