New listings page format is terrible

Who's bright idea brought in the changes to the listings page.

Cumbersome, can't tab quickly through, page needs to reload to bring up pull down menus.

It slowed down the process of listing items.  Stupidity.

Re: New listings page format is terrible

can you not go to 'sell similar' (even if it's not) & tweak from there?

Re: New listings page format is terrible

I have been using this new tool for a couple of weeks. I have made some constructive suggestions about providing additional font size, font colour options and putting back the left/right indent button but no improvements yet.

Yes and my gripe is why do it at this time of year when we get busy with xmas sales - I have spent so much time on this today and you cannot 'sell similar' as it puts specifics in the new listing that you have no option to change!  online ebay help are very unhelpful.

One major thing I've noticed:

if you use 'sell similar' and your item will be sent untracked, make sure you 'sell similar' on an untracked item, otherwise there is NO OPTION for untracked postage and you have to start all over again....grrr

Re: New listings page format is terrible

That is really REALLY weird! I have been happily listing postcard auctions using "sell similar" - started yesterday and continued today, just finished scheduling 30 minutes ago. I was happily switching between Tracked and Untracked letters - both options available, no matter what had been the delivery method of the previous listing. Now I can't replicate it.  As you say, only the option that was used in the last listing. I wonder if it is a glitch? (Wish I'd kept that "Sell Similar" tab open!)

I think it clears them when you change the item category.

Re: New listings page format is terrible

Yes it seems to but how annoying to have to change the category and then change it back again, just to show the postage option you want. Didn't have to do that when I was listing yesterday and earlier today. Sigh. Maybe it will reappear.

Re: New listings page format is terrible

This sounds thoroughly confusing.

I am tempted (just a bit) to list something, purely for the new experience of the listing format, so that I can give advice based on experience with this current format.

But the thought of registering as a new seller is too daunting.

Re: New listings page format is terrible

It is fraught, countess. And not worth the effort. The new page is a PITA, but not life ending.

Luckily my store account still lists 'normally'.
