New term for sellers 'DEFECT' from the UK boards

Only takes a buyer to open a INR case asking ‘where is my item’ and you too will be on the road as ‘DEFECTED’

Won't happen here.

The discussion bit, anyway. eBay don't even talk to US.

Do you mean US as in United States or us as in the personal pronoun?

The latter, I'd say - we never get eBay reps deigning to speak with us Aussies anymore.

Has anyone read through the entire thread? I don't have the patience for it right now, but if anyone else does and discovers whether eBay has revealed what happens if a seller exceeds the maximum allowable defect rate of 5%, I'd love to know. (I suppose it could be much the same as what happens when a seller's performance standard falls below the current acceptable minimums, but I think it's interesting they're clarifying a maximum but not what happens, whereas they explained in detail what the current - possible - ramefications of below standard performance are).

Edit: Quote: If a buyer contacts you after the estimated delivery date of the item to query why they have not received their item this will count as a defect. Smiley Surprised Smiley Surprised Smiley Sad

So not cool when seller's don't get a choice about ETAs, not can they influence delivery times.

Hi Stawka, it's an American Military address - FPO is overseas I believe and APO is within America.

Listens carefully for slap........................
