I received in the mail some trial express post click & send satchels with a letter attached stating that these satchels are planned for release over the coming weeks and there are some samples enclosed. They will also be available via the Aust Post online store - the same as the regular satchels.
Going by the code at the back of these new satchels, they are identical to the regular c&s satchels so no doubt most people would opt for the express version if they price will be the same!
Anyone else received these satchels yet? They are not yet available from the online store.

Can you give us more info please...
What is the difference? Size the same .. weight the same? or is it just the design? Are these just for click and send?
Was a 5 kg bag included?
Did they indicate what happens to the old click and send bags we got now?
Grrr. I just bought 100 of each normal click and sends.

They are the same size. The only difference is they have express post on it. They have the same codes as the 500gm & 3kg c&s regular satchels.
I sent some c&s satchels today and used my regular ones as I could not see anything about the express ones.
i believe they will be probably be the same price to post as the codes are the same. The difference will probably be the price you buy the satchels for on e-bay. Where as you pay around 15cents for the regular ones you may pay a couple of $ for these each which would cover the express side of things.
just what I think anyway.

1. It looks exactly like the normal express satchels but with some extra logos at the bottom of the satchels
2. Yes, 500g & 3kg
3. No
4. They remain the same
The code is the same which means the pricing is the same. They cannot be dropped in red post boxes (I hand mine over the counter so that doesn't affect me). Therefore I presume that it will cost more to purchase the satchels.
Cheers,

If AP don't honour (non-signature) C&S, but do honour Express Post parcels (up to $50) that go walkies - wonder what would happen if the Express C&S go walkies?....

I received some also in the mail yesterday. I opened them and thought I didn't order any of these!!!!,
Something for FREE from AP this is a first.
Will be interesting to see how the express satchels will go.
no its not a first Cathy, the Click and Send satchels were free for a short time too to enable eBayers to try

Yes they certainly were free for a long time, you could usually order only a limited number at a time but you could order using multiple ids, I think I managed to acquire enough to last me about three months after they started charging for them before i had to buy any ๐

I have since read (on the PS board) that the price for sending a 500gm express C&S satchel is apparently $8.80 (no price on the 3kg as yet), but someone also mentioned that they were told by AP they won't "work" yet. ?:|
Perhaps the wrong code was printed on them so since they won't be charged at the right rate, they won't be processed (delivered) as express.

Don't know much about c&s (or anything else for that matter) but thinking they will add the Express to the choice you have now when processing your satchels - ie: tracking with sig, etc, there will be Express and you will be charged accordingly??

Makes sense to me that the express choice will appear when processing, with an appropriate charge added, same as when you select signature or courier pickup etc etc.
Not sure about being printed with the wrong code ?? maybe the code just represents weight limit and satchel measurements ??

What a joke! I just read in the PS forum that someone spoke to C&S and you can't use them right now! "
I asked about the C&S express satchels and was told "you can't use them for the time being I'm afraid. Hopefully it won't be long though."
