I had a buyer with O feedback from the usa BIN my opium tassle bottle, she has made absolutely NO contact of an sort despite my invoicing & follow up email.
I have just applied to CANCEL the transaction...one of the clauses is as follows : If the buyer declines to cancel the transaction, this case will be automatically closed and you will not receive a Final Value Fee credit.
So I have a phantom buyer & I LOSE both ways & ebay benefits both ways, listing fees & Final Value fees.
I think this is one for the financial ombudsman to be looking at !!!!!!!!

& COSTLY !!!
I am not worried about f/b from her, it will be obvious if she even leaves any what she was up to.
suitcase, if you are right about a competitor with similar item, my guess would be that she wont leave you a neg until you relist it, so it will be your first f/back shown, when it is an active auction !!! 😞

If she does not pay and leaves NEG then you can ask eBay to remove it on the grounds that she only bid to disrupt your auction, so I would not be worried about that.

HI Putney & Supa Nova,
I wasn't aware of the weather in the US, I hope that WASN'T her issue [for her sake].
I went ahead & relisted it, & am pleased to report, at the moment, that a FV fee HAS been refunded, so I find that all very confusing !!!
I copied & pasted directly from ebay when filing for the cancellation so it wasn't a typo.
I still believe in my instincts, O feedback, joined THAT DAY, a little tooo suss for me.
I have blocked her regardless.

If the FVF have been refunded that means she agreed? I cannot see how other way it would have happened; the item only sold Feb-04, so you could not have opened the case before the 8th, that is only 2 days ago. ?:|

She may have joined because she wanted the bottle. She also bid on 8 other items and won some.

By the way there have been severe weather for at least a week in the USA, this is the latest headline:
Blizzard hammers U.S. Northeast, five dead, 700,000 lose power

supa nova how can you tell ' She also bid on 8 other items and won some' ? I can't see any history when I view her page.
Yes, just saw something about it on the news. US weather.

Mutual cancellation can be opened straight away, only UPI nee s the 4 day wait. If buyer does not respond you get FVF back.
I often get US buyers who buy then realize Aus shipping is not domestic, or US sizing is not AU nsizing, resulting in high number of US cancellations, Even when requested and argeed on once I send request through many simply dont bother responding. So it goes to default closure. Pestering them can cause them to turn it down out of spite. That is the only way you dont get it back. So if you haven't given reason to provoke them it is unlikely that you wont get it back one way or the other.
Not worth stressing over, go through though motions

This means responds by declining the request NOT decline to respond to the cancellation

I forgot :), but i thought that it only closes automatically after a week or so???
suitcase, I have clicked on the bidder in the item's bidding history and it showed that all up she was bidding on 9 items, and some was winning bidder.
