The new feedback page no longer gives a link to Id history. Looks like another win for the shonks. 😞

How do you work that out?
Changing your ID does not erase feedback.....the only way to do that is to open a new account and that does not show on the ID history.

There have been many times over the years that I've checked people's ID history. Not all of them close their account and open a new one. I guess as a buyer you don't use it as much as a seller.

Lyndal, pnc is right.
You used to be able to see when someone changed their ID, and what it was before, in a link on their feedback page.
Now that option is gone.

I know that Stawks.
My reply was addressing the remark that it was protecting shonks.
I don't see it myself as changing IDs does not alter the feedback that shows. Only a new ID entirely can do that.

No, but as a seller, if you don't recognise the name or address, you may be selling to someone you may not want to.

But the feedback will show that......surely a seller can recognise bad feedback without knowing what ID accumulated it.
And as I understand it, if an ID is on a blocked bidders list it will still stay there even when an ID is changed (or has that changed now).
If a buyer opens a new account to circumvent blocks it makes no difference whether a seller has access to the ID history as it will not show any connection.

Whatever anyone's reasons for liking it or not, the point is that the new feedback page no longer gives a link to Id history.
