No feedback timewasters buying things.....

Been trying to sell my nikon d90 and have had it purchased now twice by buyers with 0 feedback who havent paid...Who are these people?? surely they must have something better to do than waste peoples time??? Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestions??

Putney32..you can't stop a new ebay user from using ebay, but it would be gr8 if you could stop them from bidding on your own items..yeah  B-)

So who's items WOULD you like them to bid on when they 1st join ?:|

And aren't you lucky that sellers gave YOU the opportunity that you want to stop others from having.

I have just had a 0 feedback buyer purchase from me and there was no problem at all I have had 4-5 over the last year or so and not one has been a problem YET.

Just remember its like anything a certain percentage will renege on there first couple transactions and for various reasons including not feeling safe about transferring funds online etc  BUT most are just normal honest people at the beginning of there eBay journey. 

Everyone deserves a chance and like I said most are fine and if you get one that does not pay well chalk it up as it doesn't cost anything  if its a free listing .

Also you can always cancel there bid if you see them bidding on your item and then block them but it may cost you a sale.

Don't be so hard on new eBayers until they have defaulted and if everyone follows the rules neg the ones that don't you will see a (-1) instead of there (0) in feedback that's why its there to warn others.

If they are a BUYER only they will NEVER have (-1)...BUYERS can only receive positive feedback..to have (-1) they would have to have sold something and not completed the sale.

I guess this is why feedback is important for a buyer so we don't get blocked on our first buy but then hang on me thinks that I would rather not buy from someone who wants to block someone based on being new alone.

Is there a way to check a buyers non payment history if not maybe there should be one.

There is an option to block 0 feedback buyers that are not verified.

To put these blocks in place hover your mouse over account in your my eBay page and from the drop down click on Site Preferences then go down the list till you see Buyer requirements and to the right of that click on show then click on edit. From there you can put in place the blocks you want, to stop those you want to block from purchasing from you.

How many feedback did you have when you made your 1st eBay purchase?

One thing you can do is set yr preferences to block (0) fb bidders Who are not phone verified. that helps

stopping a new ebay user from using ebay does not help

They can verify their account by either phone or adding a credit card to their account even if not to sell.

There are many 0 fb bidders who do pay, but t here are many who don't. The majority of non paying bidders have 0 fb. I'd prefer to just block all of them if I could. If anyone disagrees then fine, I really don't mind. I'm just sayin....

In my experience the majority of NPBs have feedback ranging from 0 to around yours. And not very many at the low end. More in the hundreds.
