Spent most of yesterday with ebay support trying to figure out why i could not see view item link or buyers feedback left for others. Most gave me the line it is not possible to see if a private listing to which i pointed out they were not. Was even asked for a screenshot at one point.
After searching the net this morning found this article below - ( and could someone please tell the support team ๐
eBay is making its feedback system less transparent by removing purchase details from the feedback page in a move that has already shocked some users who noticed the change start to roll out to the site right before their eyes on Wednesday.
Because eBay did not announce the change, many wondered if it was a glitch or a test. But eBay spokesperson Ryan Moore confirmed it was a deliberate policy change.
"Based on customer feedback from both buyers and sellers, we have made the decision to remove the view item link and item ID information on Buyer and Seller Feedback profiles pages," Moore told EcommerceBytes.

I do not recall giving eBay feedback on this....
They always seem to say 'based on customer feedback from both buyers and sellers.... here is another bitter pill"

Thanks for putting up the images as i think that will make things a lot clearer for others.
The fact that such a major change like this was introduced with no notice is quite discerning - even the support staff knew nothing of it.
Yes you were right ot point out that this change goes against their own advice.
Surely sales will drop accross the board.

Hello,
As a seller we haven't been able to leave negative feedback for years, now what we leave feedback about has been removed. With PayPal being offerred and 99% of buyers paying immediately by PayPal feedback such as "prompt payment received" is obviously not very imformative. Also false positives are a NO NO; we cannot leave positive feedback with a negative inference. So whats left??
I bet all the money in my piggy bank (10c and a button), that feedback by sellers will be removed within a few months!!!!
