Non paying bidder

I have buyer who was a previous customer.So when he said he will make a late payment because he was having internet trouble. I said I would wait.After 2 weeks and with no further contact from him .I decided to cancel the transaction.Ebay had to get the ok from him.

After 4 days he said he did not want to cancel the transaction.He said he had paid last night and gave me a reciept number.I aked whoo did he pay.i got no anwer from him.There is nothing in Paypal.He is not answering my mails.I think I will just.do a no payment tranaction.Dont Paypal payments go in straight away.

They will show straight away, even as pending. Is this the case?

I usually opt for NPBs rather than cancellations, and I'm not even sure you can change a rejected cancellation to a NPB.

Do you accept back deposit as a method of payment? He may have paid that way if you do. Check your bank account tomorrow if you do and see if there is a deposit. If you don't accept bank deposit then it's anyone's guess who he paid! Once you've commenced a cancellation, you can't then change to a non payment dispute. You just have to wait for him to either accept it, decline it or it times out after 10 days. If he declines it, you lose your fees. If he accepts or it times out, you get your fees refunded. He can still leave feedback for a cancellation, so be prepared for a negative.
