Parcel forwarding company

Advice needed. Sold a $50 item "by standard air mail" and was advised to send to the address In eBay which I did and sent same day. Next day buyer wants a tracking number due to the address being an onforwarding company. Which i didn't know. I don't have one to give her as sent as large letter by standard email. She says she won't get it and tracking company will Not forward to her or send back to me. What are my rights given I advertised standard air mail and was advised of this after marked off sent in eBay? Thanks in advance

Re: Parcel forwarding company

Sounds sus to me.  If tracking was essential for delivery to the buyer, why on earth did they not advise prior to payment, or just after payment.

Did the parcel have your return address?  Ask for companies contact details so you can explore their inability to return to sender.  That in itself is an issue.

How did they pay?  What was the address on the Paypal notification ?

Re: Parcel forwarding company

How is an overseas buyer to know that 'by standard air mail' means it is going as a letter, she is probably correct that a parcel forwarding service will not deal with a letter and if you wanted Paypal protection you should have paid extra to register it then you would have had seller protection.
