i agree i hate pay pal, i have just had a problem with a buyer lieing on this forum and also targeting me because i prefer not to deal with pay pal did the same thing to me 3 years ago, i sold a phone sent it via post bag with tracking number i posted it and then a week later he compained he never received item. tracking number said it was dilived to melbourne but aus post said they safe dropped it at his door, now he either recieved it and is a scammer/greedy or it was genuinly stolen from his front door. i had proof it was posted by a receipt (i didnt know i should have registed it back then) there was proof it arrived in melbourne but no proof on if it was picked up/dropped off ect but to my disbelif they ruled in favor of him and told me to chase it up with aus post so i was out of pocket $700 and the phone which was worth $1000. aus post paid $100 for lost item but would take no rsponisblity saying its ok to safe drop. i presonlly always thought if someone wasnt home you had to card them but these days they "safe drop" so i know how you feel pay pal offers more to the buyer than the seller.

Pay pal DOES help when you do the right thing, sometime it takes a bit to get them to do it but do the right thing and they do help.
Killer saying "i prefer not to deal with pay pal" does NOT mean you can refuse it.

killerbabe: That's your fault not PayPal.. It states specifically to qualify for seller protection it must be sent registered or click and send.
They ruled in favour of the buyer because you failed to provide proof of delivery..
AP will often safe drop items unless you specifically write on a package that it is not to be safe dropped, you can even get stickers from the post office.. If it is sent registered post, then the buyer usually has to sign for the item; if they aren't home then the contractor (sometimes) leaves a card, in which case you will have to sign for it at the PO
AP weren't to know that there was a phone in the package, it is up to you to make sure it gets there safely by sending it registered.. Anything over $50 should get sent registered..
I hope you are offering another safe payment method such as Paymate.. You don't have to offer PayPal if you don't want to, but you do have to offer another safe payment method..
If not, you may find yourself with a few Non performing seller disputes, and possibly a policy violation for not offering a safe payment method

You had the bathers listed as NEW unused etc BUT then you stated my mum bought them for me but tried on my way to big mainly in the cup, there fore they are now worn and you can NOT list USED swimwear.
BUT now you have removed that from the listing, shortened the duration from 5 days BUT you still say no paypal even though you have it listed as a payment option.
You have added you will accept merchant CC in the description BUT you are not a registered business and IF a buyer phoned you to pay by CC HOW would you process it?
You say you have learned since selling the phone BUT you still need to learn more to sell properly.

Anything over $50 should get sent registered..
and anything over $100 should be also insured for the full cost.
I also noticed that you only offer DD or CC payment, does it mean you have CC merchant facility? In any case, as long as you offer PP on the top you have to accept it.

Extracts for the PayPal User Agreement
1.2. If you are a seller, you may not owe us any amounts in connection with a Reversal where the following eligibility requirements are met for a transaction:
a. you provide us with valid Proof of Shipment for the saleโ;
and
โProof of Shipment means the proof of shipment accepted by us as set out within the โProof of Shipmentโ page on the Safety Advice section of our websiteโ
And
โWhat is Proof of Shipping
Buyers and sellers, at the very least, must provide documentation that includes the date the item was sent, plus one of:
Now as far as I can see the above says, as long as I have a dated Aust Post receipt which says I sent something to the postcode in which the buyer resides, PayPal will accept that as proof it was posted.
So if you disagree can you please provide me with an extract of that part of the PayPal User Agreement which you say states Proof of Postage is limited to Click and Send and Registered Post

Reversed as in reversed back in your favor or reversed the payments back to the buyer?
