Hello,
After some time conversing with people yesterday I have been told by a few that there will be no PayPal fees under the new eBay managed payment system however my recent sales experiences with items listed after I was registered with managed payments has had the PayPal payments come through just as they always have before - with buyers personal details as the sender of payment and the associated PayPal fee as part of the transfer breakdown. The fee being charged to me from PayPal.
I am being told this is a mistake and I am being told there will be no PayPal fees.
Well, I would like to ask those that are already receiving Paypal fees for sales since being registered for managed payments : Are you still being charged the PayPal fee by payPal as it has always been ?
Have gone over eBay and Paypal fee totals etc so not concerned so much about that , just if that PP fee is still applied.
I am aware of the following info from eBay :
>
eBay Australia benefits of managed payments :
>
> eBay Stores selling fees for managed payments sellers
right down the bottom of the page :
> Fees for using PayPal
> We don't charge fees for using PayPal on eBay. However, if you accept PayPal payments, PayPal will charge a fee when you complete a sale, and the buyer pays with PayPal.
Thanks for your time

Is there a specific category that you're being paid through Paypal for?
Some things aren't covered by MP and initially sellers were told that those would still go through Paypal (or whatever the buyer opted for).

Then PP fee's are all you should get - no MP fee's at all, correct ? (Not a seller, just curious)

The examples I have referred to before, when comparing MP and PayPal received payments, were both in category of >electronics> home audio , components .....then a slight variance between the two.
Both listed and sold after being registered with MP.

yeah, the PP fees plus the reduced eBay sales fees of around 10.9%= 13-14%,
as apposed to the 13-14% when processed with managed payments, and without any PayPal payment or PP fee component.
That's how my fees split when I checked both sales against each other.
as a note : I refunded an amount to the buyer who paid via PayPal, ( and processed that partial refund directly from their eBay linked PayPal payment ), due to finding a cheaper delivery alternative. No sign of any fee reimbursement from eBay . PayPal have refunded some fees due to the refund.
Not sure if eBay's old schedule made the refund when I did the same but I surely can't see it within their latest accounting.
โฆand sorry if repeating myself form another thread but I've been jumping between multiple browsers, eBay accounts , and screens, so sometimes posting with wrong eBay account name.

Neither eBay nor Paypal refund fees on partial refunds. eBay will (less the 30c) for a full cancellation, Paypal not, so that is a plus for MP.

Seeing you have just recently been put on Managed Payments, maybe your 'transition' is not complete just yet?
During the transition, some item sales will still go to your PayPal account. Once the transition is complete, all your item sales will be sent to your chosen bank account.

PayPal do for me :
This is the $10.85 refund sent back to buyer directly from their received PP payment :
Refund details
Total refunded to blanked
$10.85
Fee reversal
-negative $0.28
Total paid by you $10.57
Talking cents I know , but they do take the refund into account.

At this stage I'm thinking you may be right.
Doesn't really explain this :
> eBay Stores selling fees for managed payments sellers
right down the bottom of the page :
> Fees for using PayPal
> We don't charge fees for using PayPal on eBay. However, if you accept PayPal payments, PayPal will charge a fee when you complete a sale, and the buyer pays with PayPal.
But I think patience isn't going to be key here.
