I have had my account limited by PayPal. They have required me to provide photo Id in the form of A drivers licence or Passport which I will not do. Failure to produce these items means I can only accept payments from buyers. I cannot withdraw money or buy using the money in payPal. Given that it is mandatory to offer PayPal I cannot stop buyers paying that way, and I cannot access the funds. I know there are los of people affected but cannt findathread on the issue.

Really 4channel? WHY? Why has it taken you well over a year to reply to this post? I'm sure the OP would have it all sorted by now. Especially as they are selling very little these days.

Good afternoon *tippy*toes*. The reason why I replied to this thread is because .....
* This has happened to 2 people I know recently in the last couple of months as well as a couple others I have read about online. One of these mentioned people recieved an email from PayPal and they clicked on a link. Another didn't get an email but was told by PayPal to give info when they logged in. They were also told their accounts would be limited and no more paying with PayPal etc..
* When one goes to start a thread, the system will being up threads of the same or similar topic to use. This appears to make sense.
* This thread only had 8 replies on it and I deemed it ideal to use. The OP is still active on eBay and may come back to read it.
* Because PayPal state that this Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) which is an Australian government financial intelligence agency is behind it, this is something of interest.

Many years ago I stopped using ebay because my account was hacked. I have started again recently. I provided information from my state ID, but now ebay are asking for photo id. At no time did they say that photo ID would be necessary for me to get paid.
I won't provide photo ID because ebay is always being hacked and I don't trust them to keep this information.
I will send the successful buyer their items, but obviously I won't get paid. How much money is Ebay making through this scam? The details of my state ID plus bank account details should be enough. I am horrified. My picture doesn't appear anywhere on line and I don't wont to provide it to ebay.
