So now Ebay are withholding money.... I have to send a $300 dolar item to a customer without receiving a dollar for it untill 21 days later. Does anyone in Ebay actually have a clue what they are doing? Do they have any business experience at all?
Would like to know if anyone can recommend any alternative selling venues - thinking it's about time to abandon ship here.

The more I'm getting to experience Ebay, the less I'm liking it here.....
I'm assuming that when you got put on detention for a day that all you got was a screen with a big pink message when you tried to login? Amongst all the jumble in that pink box is the message that they have slapped you for. You need to read the whole message to be able to find it as it's not highlighted in any way.
My guess is you got slapped for leaving links about that hot chick in the US, which if that's the case, is wrong in my opinion, especially when you see some of the insulting and downright nasty messages that some members leave and nothing ever happens to them.
My first detention I was not surprised at all because I did let fly and get a tad inappropriate, but the last one I don't think was warranted. I'd merely made a comment to someone that wasn't at all offensive (yet others in that thread had been offensive and nasty and they didn't get detention).
Heaven forbid it happens again, you can still access the forums to read, you just can't comment. You have to clear your cache out first though, otherwise you keep getting the ban message when you open the forum up. That was how I knew the ones who left nasty comments didn't receive detention because I was still reading all the messages!

Per the wording on eBays policy I have noted that it now states OR not AND
Never the less I again have met these criteria but still funds held with a release date still 15 days away yet I have recieved positive feedback for some of the items?
Even without a positive feedback many have tracking with a "delivered".
What more do I have to do? Of course I have to wait so any of you sellers out there that I might be purchasing from will have to wait until late December for me to do my Christmas Shopping - Oooops that wont work as I will not get gifts in time for Christmas - guess I will have to use a bricks and motor store and use the credit card.

- "you have a limited selling history with the relevant eBay website, meaning:
- 90 or fewer days have passed since your first sale, or
- You've made 25 or fewer sales, or
- You've made $250 USD or less in total sales; or
- you have a Below Standard rating in the eBay "Seller Dashboard"; or
- there are sudden changes to your eBay account, for instance a high incidence of eBay Buyer Protection claims."

Yep, it is truly unbelievable!! Absolutely crippled my cash flow, right before Christmas time too!! Like other have said before, most sellers are also buyers!!! No wonder sales are so slow at the moment, I have a list of products I am interested in, but waiting on funds to clear through PayPal!! I already missed out on a number that have sold out, shocking!
It is bad enough eBay allow big multi-nationals to advertise on the items for sale pages, effectively directing them to a cheaper product (often on special), but now they are colluding together to sign the death nell for a lot of sellers!!

If you are absolutely sure that you meet all the criteria, then report Paypal to the FOS. They are holding your funds outside of the terms of your contract with eBay.
For those armchair lawyers would holding the funds after meeting all the requirements to release fall under the Section 178BA (rep) Crimes Act "obtaining by deception of any money, valuable thing or โany financial advantage of any kind whatsoeverโ.?? If so could eBay be reported to the online fraud squad

This is beyond a joke now PayPal is holding money for 21 days on my private out of ebay sales.
Personal sales I have made with friens - peers & colleagues in the USA.
I am now getting mad!

Bonus eBay has changed from AND to OR.But it'd be nice if they understood this eBay.COM.AU, and got rid of the USD requirements.
Mine hasn't been updated to 'or'. I was checking it out last night. They are also not doing what they say they will to release funds earlier. My mate is livid as he still can't access his funds, even though tracking numbers were uploaded, item marked as posted, feedback left by both buyer and seller. He lodged a complain with the FO, so will be interesting to see if he hears anything back from them.

Just out of curiosity, what was the ETA eBay gave the buyer? eg according to their info, if they estimated the average for a parcel (usually around 3-6 days), the funds should be released around 10-13 days after payment.
