Hi, I have a buyer who says they've paid but no payment received in my paypal account. I accidently marked the item as payment received and now can't reissue invoice. What do I do - buyer wants item ASAP1

The payment would not be in your PayPal account
Paypal has not been a 'thing' for sellers for almost four years
You needed to have signed up for Managed Payments and be verified before you sold anything
Even then, your funds would be on hold for 30 days as a 'new seller'
Of course the buyer wants the item they have paid for
It is not their fault you have not done as required of you to sell and be paid

The buyer has paid.
You need to post the item asap to avoid a defect on your account.
You must sign up and be fully verified for Managed Payments to receive your money, minus fees into your bank account.

Thank you for the advice. I am registered as a seller but last sold in 2021. You are right - the money goes to my account rather than Paypal. Ebay contacted me following my post to advise that the buyer hadn't paid - still hasn't paid! But she has her money and I have my item so no harm done. Regards

Have you reported the non payment?
Otherwise you will still owe fees on the sale and the buyer gets away without getting a strike for non payment
Also, add her to your blocked list so she does'nt do the same thing again to you on another item

What Sandy said. You need to cancel the transaction using the buyer didn't pay option. You can find that option in the dropdown next to the sold item on your selling page. You will get your fees back and the buyer gets a well deserved strike. Don't let them get away with it. If they get 2 unpaids in 12 months, they will find they are blocked from buying from a lot of sellers who have buyer blocks in place. Might pay to set up buyer blocks to block anyone with 2 or more unpaids in a year. It weeds out the serial pests.
