Having no luck on the Paypal forum with this: How do you run reports using the new interface? For tax purposes I need to see how much I paid in fees each month. I found the page on the Classic site, though it's moved to a tiny menu item over on the right, but the arrow on the top right on the new site takes me to a page called Download History and it only has the option to download payments/activity, not a monthly summary as far as I can see.

I know Paypal says the new format is simpler.... pfffft
You go to your Profile - click on the wheel looking icon top rh corner
Click on My Money lh side then click on Monthly Account statements within the middle
Then top rh corner drop down menu select Monthly Financial summary report and select the relevant month from the Month section.
If anyone knows a quicker way, please help... as this new format to gain important information is well pffft.

I think they mean it's easier for phone users, which I wouldn't know about, but in order to reduce the menu items on the front screen everything is tucked away and impossible to find!
Thanks for the help. When you first click on that cog wheel, under My Money it says "Banks, Credit cards and more" - despite the "more" it didn't occur to me that reports would be there so I stopped looking. Since "Banks" and "Credit cards" mean functionally the same thing for Paypal users, I would think "Banks, Reports" would be a better subheading there. (Not that there's any point suggesting it to Paypal because any email to them results in an unrelated FAQ form response!)

I do this for my monthly reports. I can get the total fees from this when I put it into Excel.
Open the Classic Site (see down the bottom of the main screen)
Then up the top of the list of transactions...
select the date range (from -- to) you wish to run the report for. I run from Day#1 to Day last.
at the top of the transaction on the RHS click CSV
When the popup window opens just select CSV (the deault anyway)
Click DOWNLOAD.
You will get an email when the download is complete... so wait for that to happen. May be quick or slow.
After its complete...
Look for the MORE dropdown arrow just under the CSV you clicked above.
Click that (well hover really) and select Download History from the list
This will take you to the Download History screen
Just under the list you will see a link "Recently Downloaded Logs"
Click that and then choose the one (radio button) you just created by the date range above
Click "Download Log".
Save this to your local computer somewhere.
This is a CSV file so will load directly into MS Excel.
Then you can format it, add formulas or whatever you wish to extract from it really. Including fees for the date range you specified at the start.
