I have just got off the phone from Paypal because they have on hold over $2000.00 worth of funds.
Their answer was because I didnt add my tracking numbers to the paypal transactions.
When i asked why was ebay not integrating the tracking numbers on ebay through to paypal she said, they did not do that anymore and i would need to go through each transaction on paypal and add tracking numbers.
There goes the fast integration between aus post and ebay tracking numbers, I now need to go through each sale and copy the tracking number over to paypal so they can release the funds.
Has anyone else had this problem?
this is going to calculate to so much more time to have to do this
also I dont get that I should dispatch a product until the funds have been cleared in my account...normal trading terms...not happy jan

Please be aware.
paypal is holding funds.
Their expectation is you need to add tracking numbers both in ebay and paypal and the funds will not be released until the customer has recieved their goods.
So the customer in good faith pays for their goods, we are expected in good faith to dispatch the goods and paypal will withhold the funds for up to 21days.
I contacted the financial ombudsman as i saw the same problem on other threads and this was suggested. Now because of that paypal won't speak to me because it has gone to their lawyers.
I have over 2000.00 worth or money being held. When i in good faith have dispatched the goods.
So not happy

I must be the dumb blonde here, but I cannot understand why you, lifestyle_gifts, with your FB score of 7566, 1 defect, is suddenly having funds withheld?? It doesn't make any sense at all to me. I understand they do it for new sellers (even though I personally disagree with that). But an established seller!!??!!
And could someone post where it says in PP's T&C's that tracking numbers must be provided to them.
You use the words 'their expectation', but if it aint in their T&C, I would be telling them to 'expect' all they like in a couple of short words.
I also hope that your contact with FOS was in the form or a formal complaint.
On the upside, the fact that PP won't talk to you now, could well mean they are on the back foot, and your funds may be released very shortly.

Wow ! Did FOS tell you paypal have sent it to their lawyers, or did paypal tell you ?
While I was waiting for the outcome of my report, FOS did get back to me to advise along the lines that paypal were considering my report/claim & it did take about 14 - 18 days - but eventually they messaged with some carpy reason why they'd decided to release MY funds & FOS did contact me again to ensure the matter had been resolved to my satisfaction. I am gobsmacked that paypal would actually waste their time & money trying to fight you as my understanding is that they don't have a leg to stand on - unless there is something in the new T & C's, but all this happened to you prior to them being released anyway didn't it ? I'm pretty sure I only received them one day this week.
Mental note to self : Must check the new T & C's, because previously paypal advised via telephone conversation they only required proof of postage - not necessarily Tracking - so that in itself is new

I was wondering the same sort of thing - it just doesn't all stack up - well not from my experiences anyway
