Recently posted an item for sale, offers over $100 buyer to pay postage. It sold for $121 I assumed I would receive $100 less eBay commission, instead I received $68 apparently despite eBay stating buyer pays cost it was passed to me.
Total rip off, last time dealing with eBay. Another seller stated it was impossible to speak to anyone at eBay, you could spend hours trying to get an answer to anything.

Is it the antique photography equipment?
Did you promote the listing?
Did you purchase an ebay label?
I'm at a loss to understand how you posted it (including tripod) for $10.96

I see $102.50 sale and $13.97 postage?

I’m seeing $13.97 postage on the camera, too?

That's why I asked.
Figures in OP don't add up (to me)

"buyer to pay postage"
The buyer did pay postage, the postage shown on your listing which would have been $13.97 to my state.
No doubt you miscalculated and it cost you a lot more so you had to pay the extra yourself.
Is that what you mean in relation to the $68 ?
"It sold for $121 I assumed I would receive $100 less eBay commission"
But even if you'd put a postage cost of $50, the final value fee would have been based on the total amount of the sale, including postage.

Buyer paid postage of $18.95 leaving a balance of $102.50 less $16.20 commission which means I should have received $86.30 as opposed to $68.30

No need to keep posting the same reply to everyone over and over. it is the same members reading the thread
Plus you were also asked if you promoted the listing and if you used an eBay label
