Recently posted an item for sale, offers over $100 buyer to pay postage. It sold for $121 I assumed I would receive $100 less eBay commission, instead I received $68 apparently despite eBay stating buyer pays cost it was passed to me.
Total rip off, last time dealing with eBay. Another seller stated it was impossible to speak to anyone at eBay, you could spend hours trying to get an answer to anything.

It's not impossible to speak to someone, but you'll need to go to chat help and persist right through till you get a human and not the Bot.
But check everything first to see if you had promoted listings or whatever, which may have pushed up your costs.

From eBay today. " I am initiating the refund for the difference amount which is $17.40 in your account."
Why do people like you get involved in an issue you have no idea about?

Because you came here and asked -

Sorry, extremely frustrated listening to people who fail to grasp the basics of buying and selling, and who seem to suffer from an inability to understand basic maths!

You asked other members
Other members cannot do anything but 'guess' based on your opening post and then posting the same thing repeatedly when asked for 'more info'
You want to attack others and accuse of us 'not grasping the basics' and that we are 'unable to understand basic maths'
You didn't want to answer if you did anything that added to your costs
Yes, we do have an idea of what we are talking about, thank you
We are all buyers and sellers (even those who do not use our selling account to post with)
It is also extremely frustrating when someone come to the member forum, asks other members why? whilst only give part information and then rudely go on the attack when we ask for more details so we can do better than guess
You'll need to take it up with eBay

Probably fees from previous sales e.g. Postage from previous sales taken out. Details will be all there if you take the time to open some of the drop down arrows and look.

"Probably fees from previous sales e.g. Postage from previous sales taken out"
I'm sure that's what most of us were thinking shoppingbag but when the OP started with guns blazing
"Total rip off, last time dealing with eBay" it was obvious that the OP was very new to selling and as looking
for the breakdown may confuse them even more, we suggested alternatives.
Let's also hope the OP has now learnt the buying basics which haven't changed since the site originally started .
If it looks too good to be true.....
