We are considering doing a Fair/Market, and have been advised will need to have Public Liability insurance, can anyone give any advice or suggestions or share their experience on this. HM to have, where to get it from, or any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks

Hello to the OP
We do a few markets and this is how our system works here, We are covered outside of our stall buy the people who run the markets. So if somebody trips and brakes a bone or something like that and there not in a private stall then the people who run the markets are covered by there insurance.
But if the person is inside our area that is within the pegs set out by the orginisers of the markets then its out fault/resposability. so we have personal liability for the 6m x 3m spots that we have. and we are covered upto 10mill. It costs about $100 a year if i remember correctly and I feel its well worth it
I wont post the name of the insurance company as I am not to sure if I am allowed but there one of the big insurance companys. 🙂

I do markets and fairs and eBay as well - $10.000.000 Public Liability from A.A.M.I is $195.00 per year and you can do it all online

Traders voice offer 20 mil coverage for $100 (a bit more for foodstuffs) and as many markets as you like, wherever you like. No other insurance company offered as much for the price when I was researching. You can get your cover from them online also.

I would hope the OP has sorted it out in the SIX MONTHS since their question.

I have had an AAMI public Liability policy for Markets, they offeref both a 90 day and 12th month policy, perhaps 6 months as well. Quick and easy to do online if you need it quickly
