What a joke of a update, This will not only be like aliexpress or alibaba where you get a AUTO response right away when a message has been sent (this is soo annoying as a buyer) and you will be punished if a buyer just say "thank you or okay "

I did wonder about this myself. This is a response to a response to a question - so actually it deserves a "tick" to the seller because it shows the initial question was responded to. It shows politeness on behalf of the buyer, but does not merit (or require) another response in itself. I wonder if clicking on Listings with Questions in Overview and selecting Mark as Answered would be enough to satisfy the bots. Is monitoring that metric how they are going to rate sellers' response time?

I thought I might use the automatic response feature to explain I'm asleep for international buyers that message me during the night. But that involves putting my store on Time Away, so nah, not gonna work

According to the EcommerceBytes link above, that thank you from the buyer would be considered the first question rather than a follow up question.

 

So you would be best to do as siddieswans suggested, and "click on Listings with Questions in Overview and select Mark as Answered" to improve your response time.

 

Only if you care about response times that is.
