Hi all, I recently got upgraded to Power Seller status. Was just wondering if other Power Sellers found any real difference to sales, exposure, etc by having this status?

none, it means nothing anymore really, well apart from being able to chat in the power sellers forum.

I don't think so. The ATO requests info from ebay every year about powersellers selling over a particular dollar value though.

The ATO request details of all sellers selling ove a specified amount each year, PS status has nothing to do with it.

Oh and now that you worked your butt off to get there(ps status) ebay will reward you by taking away your 30 free listings you use to enjoy every month. Now you need to open a shop if you wish to get free listings each month. Do watch out for the specials in your seller dashboard or by email though, Sometimes they get real generous and give you between 100 -10,000 free listings.

Harley, that's not correct - I still get my 40 free listings every month (without a store) even though I've been a PS for ages

Power Seller status has never really been a reward, as far as I know, rather more like a milestone (like reaching 5000 feedback or something - nothing special really happens, and nothing much really changes, but the symbol still marks it as an achievement of some kind ).
In the (not too distant) past, it provided accessability to some listing functions or formats that were otherwise only accessible by being registered as a business or operating a store, but now they are accessable to all, so the only things PS status now provides is that it prevents anyone from leaving a neg or neutral in the first 7 days after a sale (not huge in the grand scheme of things, but could minimise or prevent the effect of malicious buying / FB), and it's a requirement to other statuses like TRS and TRS+.

Hiya
once I became a Power Seller - the common folk now bow before me, rose petals are strewn before me, songs of praise and glory have been written about me. A grand statue has been errected in my honour, I have been offered roles in Hollywood productions, I received a telegram from the Queen offering her congratulationsand finally Playboy magazine would like me me to do a photoshoot wearing nothing but bodypaint that reads "Powerseller" to mask my naughty bits.
So ....yes....it is well worth having the title of Power Seller bestowed upon you.
