Response from buyer with zero feedback !

I have sold an item to a buyer with zero feedback who outbid everyone and paid a heap more than I expected for the item.  (I don[t know how she slipped through my Buyer Requirement settings ??)  She joined eBay on 27 April, which is the day she placed the bid).

It was 3 days ago and I have sent a second invoice, and followed it this morning with an email asking her to contact me re when she is going to pay. (very politely)

I have just received an back which says  "Yeah how long you think it'll take ?"

I have responded by telling her most people pay through Paypal which is immediate  and  I would like to know when she intends to make payment. (again, very politely)

Just when I had accepted that zero feedback buyers were okay   .....     I will open a case tomorrow if she keeps 'playing games' ....

Just sharing  ๐Ÿ™‚    ๐Ÿ™‚   ๐Ÿ™‚

Sometimes you have to read between the lines with these people who send SMS-like messages. Maybe they meant how long will it take to arrive (once they have paid)?

Re: Response from buyer with zero feedback !

It's possible that she's confused with the payment process. I've had to talk a few new buyers through it, which they've been very grateful for. I'd send another message asking if she's having trouble with the payment process and if she is, to let you know and you'll talk her through it. Some buyers may be scared to say they are having trouble in case you come down heavy on them.

I opened an UPI dispute on a 7 feedback buyer the other day as the invoices had been ignored. It must have rattled him up because he paid within an hour. I think the mention of a strike against their account in the message scares them when they're new.

Your buyer has either phone verified their account or have opened a PayPal account, which voids them from the low feedback blocks.

Re: Response from buyer with zero feedback !

Zero feedback buyers quite often dont have their paypal accounts set up or find there are problems first time they go to use them. Have you offered your buyer the option of paying using direct credit ?  I get a lot of zero feedback buyers and while you might have to hold their hand a little bit more than experienced users, I dont find them a problem at all. My selling demographic is mature aged men who are a bit more responsible than some of the younger demographics though. I wouldnt like to be selling womans clothing or phone accesories to twenty somethings.

Re: Response from buyer with zero feedback !

Thank you for your suggestions.

I have sent a couple of invoices, and followed it up with a gentle reminder.

In my last email, I noted that she was a new eBayer and offered to help her if required ...I explained that she needed to pay with Paypal (if her account was set up) or by Bank Deposit and that I would post the item as soon as the money was received.

I will see what happens now .... I haven't heard from her since early this morning.
