Can anyone tell me how long it takes for a return to be cancelled if the buyer doesn't return the item?

Hello, all. I'd like to remind you that the harmony of forum is very important and you can post whatever you want as long as you adhere to the policy: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/everyone-boards.html Thanks.

That's quite discomfiting, particularly as it doesn't match the info in their MBG policy pages, though along with (almost) everyone else, I know from expeience that the time-frame is longer than 30 days.
It's interesting that they said 36 business days - I know with unpaid items, there's nothing you can do about it 32 days from the date of the sale, which also equates to a 36-day allowance once you include the additional 4 days before it can be closed (if you open a UPI case on day 4 then just leave it alone, it will time out with no FVF credit etc after the 36th day from date of sale).
It's one of my bug bears with the MBG policy, to be honest, because I only allow 7 days (after receipt of items) for change of mind returns, and eBay allows me to clearly state that as one of my terms, and yet I've had COM return requests that weren't followed through by the buyer and eBay not only left it open but hassled me about it for 30+ days - as soon as my 7 day window was up, the buyer should have become ineligible to return the item via the MBG as a change of mind. >_>

So serial 'newbie' disruptors are allowed to get away with interpersonal attacks, but us 'old' hands are held to a higher level of responsibility?
