I have just been advised. That i have to wait 21days to get paid fot a boat i sold. I have been with eBay for five years and paypal. My money has been placed on hold because i haven't sold anything for twelve months so im classed as s new seller. So now i have to hand over the boat. And wait for paypal to release my money. If this is the way ebay treats people then i will never advertise on their site again. Oh yeah and they took there fees out.

If you have been with ebay for 5 years and read the forums before you should be aware that most seasoned posters will advise that "Cash on Pick Up"is the safest and easiest way to transact a pick up item. If the buyer is not happy, they just walk away. You could have asked the buyer to cancel the paypal payment and bring the cash. As mentioned, make sure you get copy of D.L. and car rego when boat is picked up. Not nice to go off at people on this forum about it all. Everyone here is a volunteer member just like yourself who try and help other members. As for "Hope you choke on it" Ebay do not read these forums so you are going off at the wrong people.

Presumably when you joined ebay you read the terms and conditions and signed to say you had. That included it saying that you agreed to read and abide by any and all updates. Every member was informed about the 21 day hold for sellers who were either new or had not sold for some time so you should not have been surprised when it happened to you.
You can ask the buyer to leave you feedback straight away then once that happens a phone call to ebay should see the funds released.

With due respect, why did you post here if you don't want help?
It is never a good idea to get paid with paypal for an expensive pick up item.....it is far better to put in your listing that cash on pickup is preferred. It is better for the buyer too....if the buyer is not happy with the item once he inspects it he just walks away and does not have to worry about getting his money back. and you don't lose a chunk of you money in paypal fees.
It is really quite acceptable to ask the buyer to accept a refund and to pay cash once he has inspected the item.
