Sales are not usually quiet for us but it was just the long weekend imo, lots of people went away I think. The weekend was a lot slower than usual

Was the long weekend only in Victoria as we did not have one in NSW.  Although they are not much use if your self employed.

ACT also.

I tend to look at a minimum 3 month window.

There are people who seem to have more access to my sales than I do, who constantly state that my sales are less than average. I think they are average, but what would I know?

I wonder if the impending WW3, the ballooning petrol prices, the extreme weather in some states, possible interest rates rising and many GPs now charging to see patients may have anything to do with it.

Doesnt seem too. Just sold a large chunk of my potential ebay stock in bulk through another system in the last couple of days. Buyers went nuts over it paying much higher prices than I expected. Was hoping for $40 K if things went well, but it sold for well over $50k. The buyers are definately still out there with money to spend ( after not spending as much recently due to COVID ) . It just seems that ebay is not attracting them to the platform.

I could be wrong here but I feel as if players who are in the market to outlay $50k for an assortment of items are probably businesses or professional sellers, they are not so much your mum and dad buyers.

I keep reading of sellers on ebay whose sales have dropped and I think it probably does depend on what items are being sold. The uncertain state of the economy with massive petrol price rises, cost of living price rises and talk of increasing interest rates is going to impact on a lot of average people. I think a lot of people may hold off on some smaller discretionary items so sellers catering for that market might be affected.
