Scamming on Ebay

Please beware Sellers. There is an eBay user by the user name REMOVED of Victoria randomly buying but not paying or responding to messages. Best option is REPORT this idiot. DO NOT leave any form of feedback as its marked as positive feedback only. Just repost idiot and open unpaid item case and back the loser 😉 hope this helps. I understand the frustration but this tosser just wants bites

Cheers
Shaggy one

Re: Scamming on Ebay

Yes it's against ebay policy to name and shame but it's ok for bogus buyers to leave negative and untrue feedback against sellers. Etsy have more respect and consideration for their sellers and that is why I'm leaving ebay for good.

Re: Scamming on Ebay

Had newbie (from Ferntree Gully, Vic) buy from me, plus bought about 20-30 items from other sellers, no payment no contact and no response. Contacted other sellers to see if they were paid, nope. So of the 10 sellers I contacted none received payment, we all opened UIDs, yet this buyer has not been made NARU.  So they are free to go and bid, win and not pay on as many auctions as they like! System is a joke, regardless of whether you have blocks in place, the buyer should be booted off!

Re: Scamming on Ebay

So are you saying that you have evidence that buyers with a UPI opened against them may not actually get a strike?  OR if this buyer was a newbie, then perhaps bidding/buying was still happening while the "strikes" we're being finalised? ........... over 10 UPIs yet still able to buy ....... sigh

Re: Scamming on Ebay

Cathy..10 unpaid items is nothing compared to the buyer the OP complained about who has had over 100 unpaid item purchases in 12 months according to the angry feedback comments left for her and you'd have to assume most of those unpaid purchases resulted in strikes.

I have had a buyer blocked from bidding on my tems due to too many strikes so I know the system does work generally, but when a buyer has 100 unpaid item cases then you have to wonder what is going on that gives her apparent immunity.

It's not as if she is only buying from newbies who don't know about putting in blocks for unpaid strikes...she also buys from many high feedback sellers who would have those blocks in place.

I have asked Ebay a few times to investigate this particular seller and have been told she will be investigated...time will tell if any action is taken but meanwhile her unpaid purchases just keep growing.

Re: Scamming on Ebay

Try over 800 unpaid items and still not restricted. Has been reported multiple times and is still allowed to continue. At least half would have known to open a dispute. There are probably hundreds more that didn't bother to leave feedback.
