Selected local pickup paid with PayPal and no contact yet ..

This may be a little premature however had a recent sale buyer paid with PayPal not paying for post (local pickup) . There no notewith pp payment and no message regarding pickup . I have sent a message to ask their plans as they don't look local altho same state. Obviously I need to wait a little while for a response. I see I can't invoice them again for post. Any suggestions / options? I do also say cash preferred for pickup but they were likely directed immediately to pp by eBay. This wasn't a pay now listing. I'm left wondering if they expect it was free post or if they'll just turn up as don't buyers get ur address when they buy now?

To stop this happening again you have to uncheck the Pay on pickup box in the listing under payment options. You can still state pickup available in your listing but this way it's just not an option in checkout. I do this too as I had a customer combine postage themselves for 2 items by selecting cash on pick up for one item and it wasn't enough post

So you can still do pickup they just need to contact you first to invoice with 0.00 edited in the postsge column ?

Yes.  Even better, get them to pay cash.  Pickup using paypal is fraught with all sorts of hazards, I don't allow it.  But you still need to send them an invoice if they pay with cash, otherwise when you mark it as paid, you will pay the FVF on the postage.

poppy - remove pay on pickup under paymetn but tick local pickup under post - or untick both?

I had the same thing happen. They selected local pickup, and they are not answering my emails. I also noticed their address is a suburb in QLD and I'm in Melb.  I have emailed advising I will cancel order and refund if I don't hear from them shortly. Not worth the hassle.

The best way to avoid creating zombie threads is to check the date of the previous posts (and the opening post), and if it’s more than a year old, you’re probably best off starting a new thread.
