Selected local pickup paid with PayPal and no contact yet ..

This may be a little premature however had a recent sale buyer paid with PayPal not paying for post (local pickup) . There no notewith pp payment and no message regarding pickup . I have sent a message to ask their plans as they don't look local altho same state. Obviously I need to wait a little while for a response. I see I can't invoice them again for post. Any suggestions / options? I do also say cash preferred for pickup but they were likely directed immediately to pp by eBay. This wasn't a pay now listing. I'm left wondering if they expect it was free post or if they'll just turn up as don't buyers get ur address when they buy now?

I can't see where any of your sold items have free postage....what is the item number?

Buyers don't get your address.   You get theirs.

How long ago was the sale?  10 minutes?    Nothing in your 'sold'

Sold On another user ID paid for just before 1pm so five hours ago

And I guess not a lot of point refunding PayPal when they do pickup and if they offer cash!

Actually the buyer has just messaged and they sound a little ... Sidetracked .. Regardless it's a sale & Communication has been made. question resolved other than how to avoid this scenario in future thanks for ur responses

I sometimes have "cash preferred on pick up items as there is no PayPal protection for pick up items".

I will even refund a payment on PayPal and suggest the buyer pays cash on pick up once they have seen the item and are happy with it. This eleviates any misunderstandings and the possibilities of a chargeback.

Buyers will occasionally have a PayPal balance and want to use that so I must respect that.

I must add, PayPal are changing there policies to include protection for pick up items next month.

It just gets better and better .. Not. Only use PayPal payment prior to pickup is u can leave out for buyer if u can't be home
