This is really annoying! This happened to me on 3-4 occasions already and I'm NOT HAPPY because after I enter the Tracking Numbers, I am confident that they are in the ebay system securely, so I dispose of the bits of receipt papers with Tracking Numbers on them!!!
I can't contact ebay to report/complain so they can fix their system.
Anyway, I now add the Tracking Numbers on NOTES, just in case as this is a big risk to sellers when buyers have issues with delivery!

I've never had it happen, but I keep lodgement receipts for 12 months as a matter of course.

Are you doing this via the app or on your computer?
The app is pretty glitchy.
I always keep my postal/lodgement receipts firstly in case of any dispute (in the past I have had to re-enter the tracking number into a dispute, even though I had put in in previously) and secondly because I claim the mileage to the PO for my tax return. In case I ever get audited, I have the receipts to show the travel is valid.

Have never had it happen, but I have been using mypost business since it started, twice auto tracking update to ebay order has failed. Both times I have been advised of the failure by AP, and on both occassions was able to then perform a manual update as tracking details are still available in AP. Out of habit, I still keep the paper lodgement receipt, as at one stage it was the only proof PP would accept.
Just wondering if by some chance the numbers and carrier you upload are incorrectly cross referenced against the incorrect buyer/item. Or simply entered details are incorrect, I do recall once I manually entered a wrong tracking number, and was advised a couple of days later from buyer that the tracking was incorrect,
apparently I had inadvertently transplaced 2 digits

If keeping the paper receipts is too bothersome, for whatever reason it may be, you can scan and convert to PDF using an app such as JotNot Pro. Thatโs only one of many apps that will do the job, so that you can keep electronic copies that wonโt fade or get lost.

I would use my printer if I felt a need to scan. Some (most) things are easier using a computer and attached useful devices.

The options are plentiful. The issue of keeping records is well highlighted in Mozartโs Don Giovanni when the names of the bad-boyโs seduction victims are maintained in a list by his servant.
