Seller not paying for item and not replying to emails

Okay, having trouble with buyer, this person purchased  my 7 inch android tablet , I sent the invoice , she replied she could drop by and pickup next day. I sent the address and I waited and waited and waited 7days later and after many emails . still no reply. I opened a not payment case. Yet no reply after another 7days. So i decided to go to the address of the buyer. ( Maybe she forgot or something)  the buyer was there , but she didnt have cash on her, told me to comeback next day.


 


I came back , she was having a party and told me she would come around and pick it up , and yet another 4 days past and no one came. I got fed up and and re listed the tablet. then an email came with reply of "re list item"  no apology or anything.


 


Now ebay says I can't leave negative feedback, but she can.  WHy ? she says " I made her feel uncomfortable coming to her house.


 


 


I've quested for her to change her negative feedback to me, but with the drama i went thru she won't reply.  ibet


 


Can ebay remove the negative feedback !  I didn't do anything wrong. she's at fault   this is unfair to me.

Close the case, you get FVF credit, she gets a strike and you can relist. Then contact ebay to have the feedback removed as a transaction hasn't occured if the case is closed.


Just a word of advice, I don't think too many would be happy to have a seller turn up un announced. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm sorry Chiselman,I don't think it was a good idea to front up to her residence. I'm a buyer and I wouldn't like that either. Experienced sellers will be along soon to give you their opinions and advice though. Hope it all works out ok for you.

If you turned up on my doorstep uninvited and impromptu,welllllllllllllllllllllllllll:|  When a buyer doesn't pay or pick up, you just open an NPB dispute, keep all correspondence through ebay, block the buyer and wait four days, blah blah blah.  Personally I think you displayed more front than Myers - jmo:|

For future reference, you should have got the hint after she not only didn't turn up the next day but didn't answer any of your messages for the next two weeks.


 


An Android tablet will sell in an instant. What you should have done is close the case 4 days after opening it. That is the earliest you can close it and still get your FVFs back. Plus, she can not leave a negative once it is closed.


 


It's nice to want to give them a chance and truth be told, most of us would... but sometimes the writing is on the wall that they won't pay. You'll know the right protocol for next time. Might be best figuring out a good postage option, provided you can package it very safely.

Did you honestly go to the buyers home uninvited,3 times,as she has stated in her neg ? :O:O


 


Sorry,but you should probably be thankful she didn't call police-thats the 1st time I've EVER heard of a seller behaving like that.


 


Just so you know,sellers are not allowed to leave positive with a negative comment as its against ebay policy.If you do that & the member reports you,the comment will be removed,you'll cop a policy violation from ebay & the member will get to keep the green dot.So I hope you wouldn't add to your collection of 'wrongs' .

This is a great example for not having "pick-up" as an option. 


 


The pick-up hardly ever goes according to plan.


 


All you can really do now is to request ebay to remove  the feedback, explaining as you have.


 


I  wouldn't be asking anything more of the buyer, you will need to chalk it up to a bad experience. Good luck

 pick-up hardly ever goes according to plan.


 


I have never had a problem with any item I have listed as pick up, I do allow pick up for any item and in all the years I have been selling only had one buyer not turn up and she got an unpaid item strike 8 days later.


 


What makes you think you didn't deserve a neg? You handled the whole thing in a very unprofessional and totally irrational manner, when she didn't turn up by day 4 you should have opened the unpaid item dispute and then closed it 4 days later if she still did not turn up and pay. had you done that neither of you would have been able to leave any feedback as ebay would have completely cancelled the transaction and it would have been as if it never took place.


 


If you have not opened and then closed an unpaid item dispute you should not have relisted as the buyer can change their mind and pay then you could be left with two buyers for the same item. You also will not get a FVF refund unless you go through the dispute process.


 


I should imagine several people have already contacted your buyer to tell them they can get your feedback comment for them removed so you get a policy violation recorded against your account!


 


You think it is fine to breach ebay policy but don't think a buyer has the right to tell you exactly what they think of your bizarre behaviour!

I got credit for it , eBay didn't give me an option to leave neutral feedback, besides I will change the feedback if she apologies for wasting my time. Next time, I'm not offering pickup , even if they ask to pickup the item.


 


But in the end it seem you buyers don't give a toss if they waste time, i wasn't the only one unhappy with the sale. another seller had same issue with her. No email reply's etc.
