Hi sellers, when you list an item, could you put in your exact location (ie) "Melbourne" is useless as it could be anywhere. If you cannot put the location for some reason, please put in the body of your advertisement. This save's everyones time.
Thank you

Some people do it this way as I know myself if we put "Hope Valley" instead of "Adelaide" we would get tonnes of people asking us if they can do pickup. We don't allow pickup and clearly state this in our listing but people don;t read that alot of the time. If you put your exact location you will get more pickup queries and it wastes a lot of time telling people "no" when it is already in the listing

For pick up items I put the postcode in the title. I allow pick up of anything if a buer asks so I have cash on pick up from 1234 in my description. I want to make it as easy as possible for a buyer and cannot understand not making the suburb clear in the title for pick up items.

I agree, strictly for pick up items.

I actually think that a valid postcode should be put on ALL listings purporting to be in Australia. How would those sellers that put "HK, Australia" as location go as the last time I looked Hong Kong did not have a valid Australian postcode.

I agree with you mum. I also leave location as undefined as possible. I get rather annoyed with buyers that believe they have every right to come to my house whenever it suits them, weekends, evenings etc. and I will happily wait around for them for hours when they are running late ( or dont show at all ) or listen to them tell me all about thier latest ideas for 45 minutes when I should be working. I list items as online sales only, no local pick-ups available and still get numerous requests to pick-up, even for items with $3.00 post cost. Local pick-ups have a place for larger items and for casual sellers who dont place much value on thier time, but are not the automatic right, that some buyers seem to assume.
