Hi all,
My selling privileges were restricted yesterday because of the new ebay ratings. My DSR was very good but i had several cancelled transactions because of an item that i ran out of stock.
I know that i should not have something listed that i did not have avaialble however this was only for a short period (7 days). Most of the buyers were happy to wait for this dvd but there were some that wanted it cancelled and refunded. Now i feel like i should not have communicated to these buyers as i would not be in the position i am in right now. But yes, i advised all these buyers that i ran out of this title and i would have it within 7 days but i am happy to refund it if required.
I have never used the ebay inventory manager tool as i have my own system that i pay a subscription for to manage my stock levels and ordering.
I contacted Ebay customer service yesterday and was advised from their call centre in the Phillipines that this decision was final and irreversable. I argued that i was a loyal ebay customer for 10 plus years. Had paid all my fees (approx $500.00 per month) on time without delay, had feedback of >99% and my DSR's were of a high standard. I also mentioned that my rating changed on 20/08/14 and that i had 20 days to try and fix this before my account was suspended. Their response to this was "we understand but the decision is final". I then asked to be transferred to comeone who was based in Australia and who had the authority to do something about this. The response was that they support the Australian opertations and there was no one else i could contact.
I have sent an email via Ebay last night in the hope that it would get escalated somewhere but the call centre i spoke with.
Has anyone else been in this position and if so who did you contact and what was the outome?
Help and assistance needed please?
Regards
John (In2 DVD)

Ebay do not care i received 5 negatives and one neutral from all sales i made the negatives are for value of $17.56 in total sales were $10560. Buyer can scam you for $1 what you donate by $4 on fees, he lost the paypal case ebay decision buyer can give you defect. Buyer is not paying for items had maybe 4 requests from buyers to cancel the transaction
Buyer bought item for $1 vintage lens and leave neutral feedback, if you ask the buyer if there is anything wrong he tell you no everything is fine just he is thinking leather hard case and soft glass protector is not enought protection and he think the feedback he left is acurate. And i should continue....
As somebody wrote here how Chinese headquarter try to do something that's not true they already have webpage where are so many chinese seller and selling items more effectivelly than here.
Same as speaking about the media, how media helps you. That's new ebay rules they do no care Ebay still do so much money from advertising some big shops like Dick smith. Harwey Norman is upset that he is loosing customers because they are buying stuff elsewhere. There is group of people what is pushing on goverment to put taxes for item with value over $80 not like it's now $1000 tax free import. Ebay is huge company if you want get them on court their lawyer will smash you out. They do not care it's the company and media or goverment can't push ebay to change their new rules. They do not care if they loose some sellers they have so much money from banners advertising and if they will be able to show marketing values how many people seen that banner how many clicks and CPA they will never lost. Here are still plenty of cheap buyer what will be happy to buy item for few $. Bring the media that will just help t ebay regarding you can do news how you want it's just question who is paying, Ebay had spot in TV how they cellebrated 15 years on Australian markes and they show one person who did milion dollars here but as he told it was 1 year before and this seller is not here anymore. 😄 It ot worth the hasle and wasting time its like **bleep** against the wind.....

Lou, give it time and most of us will be suspended.
(Tried to do a screen shot thing today - got the screen shot, but can't upload it here. Damn my computer illiteracy (but I'm not asking for any sympathy), just get a bit narky about not being able to do computer things other people can.)
This is the sort of thing that will give defects to a seller, and not in the seller's control
From the Aust Post web-site, tracking an item (typed, because as said can't upload)
Sat 30th Aug 10.14 Item lodged with Aust Post - HAMPTON PARK, VIC.
Fri 5th Sept. 20.27 Item processed through Aust Post ffacility - UNDERWOOD, Q'LD
Mon 8th Sept 04.33 With Aust Post for delivery today - NORTHGATE Q'LD
Mon 8th Sept.13.47 Delivered. - NORTHGATE Q'LD
9 days from Vic to Q'ld is not on.
Thankfully my buyer didn't leave FB, otherwise I would have been dinged on that one. And I think this explains why Postage Time should not be included in a seller's defect rating. How many sellers will go out the back door because Aust Post don't deliver as they should.
To put it politely - this place gives me the irrits.

How quickly did the seller post the item? mostly within few hour max 1 day but as i checked in 4 cases i got lowest rating as you said how the seller can control the courier services or aust post.
The same is when the package comes damaged - damage during the transport, regarding ebay rules the buyer must return the package back.
Regarding Australia post the buyer must bring the package on the nearest post office and claim the damage to get his money back and claim the insurance. Seller can't claim the damage.
This is totaly wrong.
