Hi again everybody. Hope everybody is having a good weekend so far!
I'm about to send three blu-rays to the same buyer. But I was wondering, would it be cheaper to send each blu-ray individually (letter-sized envelopes), or all together in a bigger parcel envelope - through Australia Post? All are roughly the same size/weight.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section!
Thank you 🙂

I suppose it depends on if you are having tracking.
How did the person buy them? If the person paid for each item separately, you may be obliged to send each separately for the tracking to cover you. If they paid a combined fee, then you can send them together.

That would depend on both the individual and combined weight of the items.
For example, the minimum cost to send a letter (postage cost only) is $1.40 -- x 3 would put the postage cost at $4.20. Your packaging costs will be x 3 as well, so add that on.
If the packages are in the next weight bracket 125g+, then that jumps to $2.10 x 3 ($6.30).
If all three together weigh less than 500g, a parcel will cost $7.15 (if done through eBay), plus 1 lot of packaging, so $1-$3 more in postage, but you'll also have tracking and proof of postage.
Edited to add: if lowest postage is the primary consideration, you can get two standard cases [side by side] in a larger envelope, so might be able to reduce total cost by sending 1 on its own, and 2 together.

If they were purchased in the one transaction then yes post together, if purchased seperately and paid for seperately then post you guessed it seperately.

That only matters if you have tracking. If you don't have tracking then you don't have seller protection anyay, so it doesn't matter if they are in the same envelope or not.

by rights they are 3 diferent purchases , did the buyer pay 3 sepatate postages , if so by putting all 3 in 1 parcel would it be cheaper if so are you going to refund the difference to the buyer or keep it in your pocket mmmmmmmm

But if they were free post there is nothing to refund, or if they only costed postage at $1.40 x 3 = $4.20, but combined parcel is $7.45 do the charge the buyer extra postage mmmmmmmmmmmmm
The PC here will say if 3 items paid for in one payment must be sent together - however if you buy multiple DVD off JB or Sanity they will often sent as multiple package as the can come from different locations or times - but what would JB know about selling DVDs.
To cover your rear put in your T&C that combined items maybe split. eg
"Please note your order may be split into multiple orders, and delivered separately. Each time your order is split, you will receive an email notification. No additional shipping charges applied to split orders."
