Hi,
I sold a very expensive watch to a person in Mexico and sent it on 10/07/2017.
They paid via pay pal which I thought would cover both of us but apparently not!
I have a tracking number/with signature.
It missing as it stands on 11/07/2017.
I have contacted Australia post and they have tracked it scaned at Mexico city and then nothing with them opening a ticket with the Mexico post with no reply as yet.
the Bottom line is as follows.
I have been advised by Pay Pal that if it is not delivered to the address they will refund the buyer and debit my pay pal account basicly to bad so sad.
Can anyone give me some advise/help in how to go with this.

It is only getting too hard because you have not read up on selling on ebay and followed the rules.
You cannot close your account for 6 months after the last tranaction.

Love how people stuff up then threaten to delete their account. Like eBay is going to care. They've still got their $300 fees from the sale.
OP, the update sounds promising, yes. If the buyer has opened a dispute, make sure you add that tracking update to the dispute.

I sent something to Puerto Rico a few weeks ago with tracking and it followed a similar route to yours. After about 2 weeks the tracking updated to say it had arrived in the destination city and then a few days later it was delivered. I think that altogether it took about 3 weeks.
So the latest info does look promising.
Don't stress - you took tracking which was a GOOD thing, even if you didn't take insurance.

Strange I thought it took 60 days to close an account

It has to be 6 months because of the Ebay Money Back Guarantee of 180 days,
to make sure there are no problems with a sale.

It has always been 6 months Stawks....long before the ebay MBG and long before paypal allowed 6 months for a dispute.
I think it had something to do with bank chargebacks through paypal but cannot be sure as it was that long well before I joined ebay.

A closed accountt wil show as NARU as soon as you 'close' it but that is all, it will remain on ebay's books until six months after the last transaction.

That is very promising. Don't forget to screenshot (or otherwise save) this info- just in case you need it down the track.
