Can't name and shame, mores the pity - check out the latest red dot I received, check out their feedback left for others - nasty nasty NASTY person
makes me wonder why I bother sitting here at 1.30 am packing seeds for people like her - very disheartening

For anyone that lists with an auction, unless the buyer bids at the last second, as soon as someone bids, check their feedback left for others. If it looks really dodgy, cancel their bid and add to your BBL, so they can't try on something else, or leave it to the last second. I know it sounds harsh, but we have to protect our accounts these days. It's too easy to get shut down.
If they have a lot of feedback and you don't want to trawl through 100 pages, use the toolhaus page. That way you only see their bad feedback. It's also a useful site when you want to see all a sellers bad feedback that is more than a year old.

ok thanks for the good advise sheep
didn;t know about that aptly named app toolhaus
Don"t you get a defect for cancelling a bid though
on 22-02-2015 09:51 PM
No, no defects for cancelling a bid. Sometimes buyers will request to cancel a bid. I had one this morning. To cancel you need the buyers username, the item number and they want a reason. My one this morning I just wrote "buyer requested to cancel bid". If I cancel a bid for a buyer with atrocious feedback, I write that's why I'm cancelling "buyer has a record of excessive negative feedback for sellers"....or something to that effect. I'm pretty sure the buyer gets an email stating the reason when they have a bid cancelled.
I would much rather cancel a bid on request than have someone not pay because they had changed their mind. The buyer this morning had no other bid retractions in the last 12 months, so I don't think it's a habit of hers. Some buyers will bid on a heap of things and then work out which one they want and request to cancel bids on all the others. You can check a buyers retraction history by looking under the buyer tab on their feedback page.
