Several issues

HI im having several issues and im about to give up selling on here. Firstly I had some items that were delayed so i sent my buyers a message to explain the situation. It appears only some of them received the message which is not good. Secondly once the items were posted I created labels from ebay and they were given tracking numbers. Most of the buyers have not received these either. Now to top it all off when I lodged them through aus post 7 out of 15 couldn't be scanned as they were having issues. They did state on the back of the lodgement that they couldn't scan them. Now those 7 have disappeared and cannot be tracked. Doesn't even say that they were lodged. Australia post say they can't find them and because I didn't have insurance its tough luck. Im talking about 80.00 items. Now what do I do. I don't see the point in paying 6.95 for postage with tracking if they lose them anyway. Im kind of at my wits end now.

Re: Several issues

I haven't looked into the eBay generated labels as yet. I use Click & Send for parcels at present. Start an account and link your eBay account. Buy the satchels on eBay. Postage for 500g is about to go up to $7.15. Pay the extra $2.95 for Signature on Delivery (and you will be able to claim compensation up to $100 should you need to). Total cost  = satchel ($0.20) + postage ($7.15) + SoD ($2.95). TOTAL = $10.30. Hell, add on another 10%, add it to your item price and make your postage FREE. Self-protection is the key--you need to look after your products and business, as nobody else will do that for you. I've never had a problem with Click & Send. Parcels always scan well and it spits out a lodgement receipt. I also keep a pdf copy of every C&S label in the unlikely event of a credit card chargeback well down the track.

Re: Several issues

Do you have proof of lodgement with Aus Post? IF so, then you are OK, if you can proove items were posted, that is all you need to cover yourself against PP claims. If you haven't got proof od lodgement then you are possibly "up the creek". With Aus Post offering tracking on all parcels and now ebay labels, you still neeed proof of lodgement not just tracking number.

For regular parcels, AP have a lodgement form where the basic item info can be filled out and then they stamp it. This is acceptable proof of lodgement. For ebay satchels and labels, they should provide a printout of scanned items...never leave without it as this is your proof of lodgement...if items wont scan, ask then to enter them on the lodgement form indicating the tracking number, this becomes your proof of lodgement.

From what you say they made a note one the back of the lodgement slip for the items that did scan. What does it say and is it stamped?

Re: Several issues

just start at the beginning - the ebay labels you generated - can you see them in my ebay - manage postage label?

when you click on that - does any number have tracking history?
