There have been delays in shipments to WA due to a recent train derailment I think 10th April. It can take several weeks for people to receive parcels as there is a backlog according to Australia Post. I have had several customers complaining about slow postage so hopefully eBay will remove any undeserved low scores or negative / neutral feedback sellers get due to this out of control issue. Linky below.

Just found out that my cousin is driving a load over from Sydney to the Australia Post depo in Welshpool. Be arriving this weekend.
This be one of many loads coming via road freight.
He generally doesn't do East Coast to West Coast runs (he be going back empty), but must be paying well.

Not sure why ? maybe the road signs aren't marked as well on the way to WA ???
Duh, well hello GC...............road signs are only painted on ONE side so you have to look behind you to see what they say......
Slaps head........................

As an update to my earlier post, there has been a freight train going past here about every hour today so there will be a lot of freight to deliver on tuesday.
Trains are going both ways which is unusual for Good Friday. Normally there are a couple of trains in the morning clearing out the last of the loading ex Melbourne and a dribble of trains ex Perth until Sunday.
But it looks like it could be a good weekend for trainspotters around here.

And that makes a lot of sellers angry.
That will change when the anonymous factor is removed soon

The benefit for sellers is that they will only get stung once.
The benefit for buyers is that they will have an enhanced ebay experience.

How will it help sellers knowing who gave them low ratings? It will probably mean buyers being summarily added to the blocked bidder list by that seller if they give low ratings too.
What exactly is the benefit for buyers or sellers?
For a Seller
By knowing which transaction earned you the low DSRs, you can evaluate exactly what happened and determine
a) if, as far as you are concerned, that transaction went well, and you believe the customer is just being unreasonable/unrealistic/vengeful etc, so you can then decide iof you wqant to trade with them in the future.
b) go - hmm, I see why that customer thinks that, now I know how to improve/ how can I change my practises to improve my service
c) yep, well the surrounding circumstances were beyond my control
yada yada

Or it will mean the call centre will get more calls, and if people are able to be identified for defamatory comments and actions it could make the courts busier as well.
A friend of mine got 60 low DSR's from one customer in two transactions which were completely unjustified. If it were to happen to me I would consider action in some form.
Hopefully it may stop the unjustified postage cost ones as well as the postage time ones.

Bought from and paid seller on 6th April.....seller posted from QLD (Ipswich) on 7th April.
.....excuse my ignorance if I am missing something here but do Australia Post 'drive' all parcels by road from Qld to WA?
and/or how does a derailment on 10th April in the lower East of Australia affect parcels coming to WA from QLD, that were posted 3 days before this supposed 'derailment'.
Thanks in advance.
I am waiting on several parcels from different sellers.
