Shipping regions are difficult to define and the different languages used in settings

We had a number of occasions where we were forced to spend 3x more shipping cost to ship our product to a region we usually charge extra, this happens because of the eBay shipping region settings. e.g. Sydney fringe, there is no clear indication of how to define Sydney fringe in eBay's regional selection, some of our products could cost 3 - 4 times of cost to ship to a specific "Sydney Fringe" area, however, we don't want to exclude "Sydney Fringe" because it also covers some Sydney metro areas.  Another example has been Canberra (ACT) can not be included unless we included NSW regional, so if we want to ship to Canberra, we MUST also ship to NSW regional. But then the shipping cost from our warehouse to Canberra is like $9 - $15, but once we open NSW regional, the shipping cost can go up to $40 - $70 depending on the location. It's just bizarre how eBay defines these areas without giving more information about exactly where they are.

Also, eBay posted this eBay Plus Express Eligible Postcodes (https://pages.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/plusxpress/)

We are still not sure how these postcodes are related to the preset regions in the shipping settings, if shipping settings only allow selecting region names, then what's the point of providing these postcodes?

Hope eBay look into getting a more advanced shipping setting for more advanced user/seller or seller who sells unordinary products

I doubt eBay intend to look into it

But in any case, you would need to contact them for *their* response since this is a member forum nobody from eBay reads

(If yo do get a response, it will be pre-scripted that they will look into and get back to you in 24-48 hours)

Spoiler
They won't

We tried contacting eBay multiple times, but it almost all lasted until "okay, we will escalate the issue" and never heard again. We wouldn't expect to get a result here, more of wondering if some other sellers having a similar issue with this, and how they get away with it in the settings.

No, it's not AusPost, it's more like eBay settings

Yes as I said, that is the scripted response everyone with any issue will get told,

But just in case you may have thought eBay ever read the forum, I did'nt want you to wait around for them to reply to you here either

I must be missing something,  So are we talking calculated postage.  The price escalates depending on buyer location, and is payable by the buyer, unless for some reason you are offering free post, or flat rate.

I don't  use calculated post,  I always set a flat rate that I am happy with, swings and roundabouts.
