This is a message placed on GUMTREE early today...
How can the 'watchers' of this item on Ebay be warned?
NEVER EVER deal with this fraudster by the name of
The bag for the ad is the same as what I paid for, same pics.
She listed a Louis Vuitton bag on gumtree and after agreeing that she will post out the bag after I show her proof of payment which was emailed and texted to her., obviously she never replied to my text after funds been received. I have also noticed she still had her ad on gumtree and also eBay (listed at a much higher price) and even corresponded with other buyers late in the evening after the bag was paid for trying to con someone else!!!
Buyers let's all unite and should advise GUMTREE they should have a section to name and shame buyers who are con so we don't get cheated by all these cons!!!!!!
And to you Gumtree - shame on you for taking off ads that people put on to warn others of these cons.

Gumtree is owned by ebay, but is a seperate entity. Factual negative feedback can be left by ebay buyers for scam sellers to warn others of potential problems. What method of payment was used ? If a credit card was used to fund purchase, a chargeback may be possible if goods have not been delivered. Others may have more advice on this..

Unfortunately you cannot name & shame on here. The ID will be removed shortly.

I am not sure what form of payment was used...
The lady who has bought & paid for the bag now realises that the seller (on Gumtree) has received her payment & now
wont communicate with her....
The lady has the bag also listed on Ebay item # 400831511271
Its just so sad that someone else may be duped out of their money as the lady on Gumtree has been...

Maybe the ebay seller and the person on gumtree are totally different people.
The ebay seller has very good feedback with absolutely no indication of any problems with buyers.
It is possible that the seller on gumtree stole the pictures from ebay and put up a false advert.

This is very wrong in the ad:
please prefer pay on pick up or bank deposit as PayPal charge large fee and I will add PayPal fee to listing if paid through PayPal.
They're not allowed to do that.
What they don't realise when they say this is, buyer only has to say "OK, I'll pay bank deposit, send me an invoice" When invoice arrives, pay by PayPal. No way seller can add extra charges then!

Absolutely not. You have no right, nor evidence to do so and could wind up in a legal issue if you do.
This could be a completely fraudulent post trying to hurt someone who is innocent.
Ebay will remove this shortly.

It appears that eBay have removed her listing. I'm pretty sure it's eBay removing it, not her ending it because the item number now comes up as not being found. If she'd ended it, it would have still been visible, albeit saying it's ended.

Thanks all....I was only 'sharing' a posting a lady had put on Gumtree about how she had been scammed buying an expensive handbag & she mentioned that the SAME lady had the SAME bag listed on Ebay...I was just asking how we 'warn' others from buying from this seller...
As it turns out..Ebay has cancelled her listing ...THANK YOU Ebay 🙂
Ebay has also NOT deleted this thread...they have just removed the Sellers name 🙂
